Hill Country Animal League

PetSmart Charities has provided HCAL with a grant which gives free spay/neuter services for dogs and cats owned by Bandera County residents. Call them at 830-249-2341 for details.

The Hill Country Pregnancy Center offers free testing for pregnancy, STDs and limited sonograms. they offer referral serviices, parenting classes and community education classes in a variety of topics. As a nonprofit faith based ministry, they offer Bible studies, diapers, baby clothing and support groups. They have lay counselors that are sensitive, supportive and willing to work with those individuals who are facing an uncertain pregnancy. Hill Country Daily Bread Ministries:
Come to our Annual Vision Dinner! Give Poverty the Boot! in FEBRUARY each year at Don Strange Ranch. Pre Praty  at 5:00 pm. Everyone enjoyed a wonderful silent auction, great meal and a concert! The Hill Country Council of the Arts brought three bronze sculptures and four bronze maquettes to Boerne on loan from the Texas Trees Foundation, Dallas, for a while.  This group is a catalyst for art projects within Boerne and the Texas Hill Country. Find out more about them at www.HCCArts.org.

The Pleasant Valley Community Center invites you to their BBQ Chicken Dinner on the first weekend in May each year at the historic Pleasant Valley School (about 7 miles East of Boerne, corner of Hwy 46 East & Los Indios Ranch Road).  11:30 am to 1:30 pm, STAY tuned for price info!!
